Wispr Tasks, explained
Questions worth asking before you plan another day.
Wispr Tasks is a voice-first task planner for people who need to catch a thought fast and keep their day realistic. Here are the straight answers.
What is Wispr Tasks?
Wispr Tasks is a voice-first, local-first task planner for iPhone. It is for people who want to capture a task the moment it appears, then return to a calm, realistic day plan. You can speak a task without first choosing a project, date, tag, priority, or account.
Is Wispr Tasks the same as Wispr Flow?
No. Wispr Flow is a voice-dictation tool that writes polished text in apps and documents. Wispr Tasks is a task planner: it turns a spoken thought into a task with useful timing, category, and reminder details, then gives that task a calm place in your day.
How does Wispr turn speech into a task?
Tap the microphone and say what you need to do. Wispr transcribes the task and can recognize useful details in your wording, such as a time, day, or category. Review any suggested details, change them if needed, and add the task.
Is Wispr a productivity app or a to-do list app?
Wispr is both a productivity app and a task planner, but its focus is capture before organization. It helps turn a spoken thought into a usable task, then shows work in a calm day plan instead of making you build a complicated system before you begin.
Who is Wispr for?
Wispr is for people who think of tasks while moving, working, or talking and want a trusted place to put them immediately. It is especially useful when conventional to-do apps feel like paperwork, or when an overdue counter makes planning feel heavier instead of clearer.
Does Wispr work offline?
Yes. Wispr is designed to remain useful offline, so capturing and managing tasks does not depend on having a connection at that moment. When you reconnect, optimistic edits and conflict-safe sync help keep your plan current without turning offline use into a special mode.
How is Wispr different from a typical task manager?
Wispr starts with a spoken thought rather than a form. Its planning model also avoids guilt-driven productivity signals: work that no longer fits needs a new plan, not a punitive overdue score. Structure is available when useful, but it is never a requirement for capture.
Can I organize tasks in Wispr?
Yes. After capture, Wispr can organize work with Inbox, Today, Upcoming, Spaces, sections, subtasks, tags, estimates, reminders, recurrence, and search. The difference is that these tools are optional layers: the only thing needed to create a task is a title.
What is Wispr Pro?
Wispr Pro is planned for people who need deeper planning tools, including calendar blocks, read-only calendar import, hard deadlines, capacity planning, recurrence, and advanced review. Wispr is coming soon, and final subscription pricing and availability will be announced at launch.
Is Wispr available now?
Wispr is coming soon to iPhone. You can join the newsletter for launch news and practical notes about voice capture, realistic productivity, and planning a day that fits. Availability and subscription details will be announced when Wispr launches.
